Digital background illustrations created for the animated short film Amarillito (2026), directed by Luis Renteria. The project is part of the official selection for the Rigo Mora International Animation Awards at El Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG). The narrative centers on a midwife in last-century Mexico facing a forced marriage, and a yellow baby whose unusual appearance leads to town-wide worship. These background paintings render the streets, private rooms, and visual atmosphere of the town, embedding elements of magical realism within a historical Mexican landscape.
